During an optimization the performance of the extrusion press is improved without any hardware modifications. Our hydraulic and control system specialists work together to analyse the press’ performance and make necessary adjustments in order to improve the functioning of the press. The resulting productivity increase is shown through a reduced dead-cycle time and reduced stress (pressure peaks) which mean higher availability and fewer and shorter unplanned stops.
In the past five years, Hydratech’s optimization services has on average resulted in a 23 percent decrease of the dead-cycle time per optimized press.
Along with these results, suggestions for further productivity increasing measures through modernization of the press are given. The suggestions include budget prices and specified dead-cycle times.
